Each price bucket carries the notional resting there on both sides of the book combined. The mid moves within an interval and a bucket near it can hold bids and asks at once, so a level is not labelled bid or ask - the map shows where liquidity sits, not which side placed it.\n\n**Interpretation.** Bright levels mark where large resting size sits - the walls that absorb flow and often act as support or resistance. Watching levels build or vanish shows liquidity being placed or pulled ahead of a move, which a single aggregate depth figure hides entirely.\n\n**Technical.** The book is bucketed on a fixed absolute price grid, a constant step per instrument, so a resting level keeps the same bucket as the mid moves and a standing wall reads as a straight line rather than smearing across buckets. Each bucket carries the time-weighted resting notional over the resolution bucket, using the same valid-book window as the banded depth metrics. The map covers 500 basis points either side of the interval's closing mid by default; the bps parameter widens it to 2000. Binance publishes only the levels nearest the mid and then changes to the book, so levels beyond roughly 500bps reflect orders observed since tracking began and should be read as a minimum rather than a total.\n\n**Note:** Second intervals and tick-level data can be made available as a bespoke request.
